SemsoTec is building a new processing factory in Brno/CZ
Garching/Brno — SemsoTec plans to open a new facility in Brno, Czech Republik in 2021 for the processing and lamination of optical films and for producing display cover glasses. On top of that, SemsoTec will provide consultancy and project management services to local customers.
“There are several reasons why we decided for a new location in Czech. One is the current significant fast growth of technology-based industry in the area. Secondly, there are a number of high-quality technical universities, particularly in Brno, that ensure a steady supply of high-skilled future staff”, according to Jochen Semmelbauer, Founder and Managing Director of the entire SemsoTec Group.
The planned production start in Brno will be in Q1/2021 and the company expect around 10 employees by the end of 2020 and around 20 by the end of 2024.
“The target of SemsoTec Czech is to become a completely self-sustaining entity within the SemsoTec Group; functioning independently while still co-operating with the other entities within the Group”, according to Hans Hans Versteegh general manager of the operation in Brno.
